Static IP Configuration (Manual Configuration) Ethernet Network

Below is an outline of how to setup your SUBWAY Radio digital media player with a static IP address. If you use a static IP address for your POS system you will probably need to setup your media player with an unused static IP address. We recommend that you contact your network administrator before proceeding with the process below.

In order to complete the process below you will need the following from your network router:

» Static IP address (not being used on your network)
» Subnet Mask
» Default Gateway
» DNS Server

It is recommended to first do a firmware update on the device before beginning any troubleshooting. To do a firmware update please press and hold the brightness key (located on the bottom right of the remote). This will update the media to the latest software version.

1. Press and hold LEFT arrow key on remote until display reads: Squeezebox Setup

2. If the device request a lockout code enter: 1111
If the device does not recognize the lockout code do the following:
» Unplug the media player.
» While plugging in the device press and hold the “plus” key (right side of remote above the arrow keys).
» This will enter the media player into a factory reset.
» Then continue on to step reconfigure the device.

3. Setup Network
» Press right key

4. Scroll down to Connect to Ethernet Network
» Press right key

5. Scroll down to Specify Static IP Address
» Scroll right

6. Enter IP address for player (this will be an open IP from the router)
» Enter numbers and scroll right

7. Enter Subnet Mask
» Scroll right

8. Enter Default Gateway
» Scroll right
9. Enter Address of DNS Server
» Scroll right
10. Select music source
» Scroll down to Connect to Squeezenetwork
» Scroll right
» The device will connect to SUBWAY Radio automatically from this point
Please Note: You always want to select Connect to SqueezeNetwork
